Seeds - Broccoli 'de Cicco'

A long standing heirloom renowned for its cut and grow sideshoots which appear after the 8cm-10cm main crown has been cut.

This popular broccoli variety travelled the world with Italian immigrants in the late 1800’s. The leaves and stems are also very edible, with many people eating all parts of their broccoli plants.

Ideal for stir-fries and steaming, it’s also great for freezing. Sow in trays autumn and early spring, prick out at 2.5cm spacing and transplant when 8cm high. Broccoli likes a fertile, well draining moisture retentive soil in full sun but not too much compost.
