Strelitzia Juncea

A striking feature plant with upright cylindrical leaves with a tiny leaf blade which disappears as the plant ages.. Reaches 1 - 2 m in height and produces large orange or yellow flowers most similar to that of Strelitzia reginae. Suitable for indoors or outdoors, this baby will make a fabulous exotic entrance plant or landscaping feature.

Slow-growing, and flowers once it is 3-4 years old. In ideal conditions, this lovely plant produces many flowers and is long lived.

Loves full sun to part-shade. Keep in rich, free-draining soil and water when the top 2 inches of soil have dried out. Fertilise monthly with a liquid feed during the growing seasons. Trim off spent flowers to maintain its appearance.
